Details on the 2019 Pedal and Play events are here: where it starts, what is included, how to register, and when it all happens. If you need more, go here for contact information. We'll be happy to help you.
Our two-day event will begin and end at Laishley Park Pavilions on picturesque Charlotte Harbor, 100 Nesbit Street in historic Punta Gorda, Florida. See our Maps page for details. There are several parking venues throughout Punta Gorda, but we request that riders not park all day in the Laishley Marina/Crab House parking lot since it precludes customer access to those businesses.
For rider safety, this year the City Manager’s Tour will be limited in the number of riders.
Friday Only - You can register for just the City Managers Tour without a rider limit.
Friday Also – Saturday riders can register for 1 of the 4 Saturday rides. Saturday riders can register to also attend the City Managers Tour and associated City Manager’s Tour After Ride Social Hour. However Friday ALSO will be limited to 100 Saturday riders that choose it.
Wristbands will be provided for all City Manager’s Tour riders.
- City Manager's Tour. The City Manager leads an informative tour of Punta Gorda giving the latest behind-the-scenes information about what’s going on and planned for the city. This is a leisurely bike ride with many stops.
- City Manager's Tour After Ride Social Hour. After the tour, riders will be invited to attend the associated Social Hour at the Laishley Pavilions.
Saturday Bicycle Tours
- 62-Mile "Metric Century" Tour
- 30-Mile Tour
- 15-Mile Tour
- Mystery Tour 😯
All Saturday rides feature breakfast, ride support, snacks and drinks, lunch, bathroom facilities, and phone numbers in case of an emergency. Rest stops will be open until 12:30 pm . Riders then return to Laishley Park for a delicious lunch (vegetarian or non-vegetarian), FREE BEER, ice cream, and entertainment. All is included with the ride registration.
We will give you more information on the routes as they are developed, but be assured, there will be something for everyone!
Final route maps and other details will be e-mailed to registrants before the event. Maps and cue sheets will be sent in PDF format and also in a format for use on your cell phone. On event day, paper maps and cue sheets will be provided.
Those registering by midnight on March 10, 2019 will be guaranteed a free cotton Pedal and Play T-shirt in their chosen size and gender. A supply of free cotton T-shirts may also be on hand for those registering later or at the event.
For just $15, you can upgrade from a free cotton T-shirt to a cool moisture wicking fabric T-shirt.
